Power System Studies

We perform power system studies to ensure the functionality of electrical facilities in a safe and reliable manner.
They are critical for the safety of your equipment and personnel.
NFPA 70E 2018 (Standard for Electrical Safety in a workplace) recommends to perform an arc flash study at least every 5 years or whenever there’s modifications within the facility.

SHORT CIRCUIT STUDY

Short circuit studies determine the fault current at any point in the power distribution system.
The study aims to ensure the existing and new equipment ratings are sufficient to withstand the short circuit energy.
It can prevent damage to the equipment and keep your employees safe.

ARC FLASH STUDY

The arc flash study will help determine the flash hazard boundaries, limited approach boundaries, restricted approach boundaries, incident energies, and arc flash labels. The study helps setting safe work practices and guidance to appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

COORDINATION STUDY

When an electrical distribution system is reconfigured or a new electrical system is installed, its reliability must be ensured.
In the coordination study, we analyze the protective devices of an electrical system in a facility and how they will perform in case of a fault condition.
The study is performed to ensure the electrical devices are properly installed and are in compliance with OSHA and other safety standards.
The goal is to ensure the safety of the electrical system, the personnel and the property.

HARMONIC ANALYSIS

A harmonic analysis is performed to determine harmonic distortion levels and filtering requirements within a facility to prevent any equipment damage. Our team has certified professional engineers to analyse the harmonics in the system according to the IEEE 3002.8-2018. The study is designed to ensure the harmonic voltages and current waveforms are at an acceptable level of IEEE 519, to improve the system’s reliability.

LOAD FLOW ANALYSIS

The load flow analysis, also known as a power flow study is used to assess the conditions of the electrical system.
The objective of this study is to determine the voltages, currents, and power flows in the electrical system operate adequetly.
